About the CLEW IC Card
The CLEW IC Card is a dedicated card for using CLEW, Kyoto’s electric bike share mobility service.
With this card, you can easily unlock and lock bicycles without downloading an app, registering as a member, or scanning QR codes.
About the Pass Types (1day / 2day)
Once you unlock a bicycle for the first time:
✅ 1day Pass: 24 hours of unlimited rides
✅ 2day Pass: 48 hours of unlimited rides
- Ride the same bicycle as long as you want
- Return and rent again at any port freely
- You can also switch to a different bicycle
- Choose 1day or 2day based on your travel style
Important Notes
- Pass validity starts from the moment you unlock the first bicycle (24 or 48 hours).
- The IC card is single-use only (cannot be reused).
- This pass is only for CLEW (not valid for other services).
- If you exceed the valid time, an additional fee of 2,200 yen per day will be charged.
About Penalties
An additional penalty of 11,000 yen will be charged in the following cases, along with the normal usage fee until the bicycle is recovered:
- Parking outside designated parking spaces
- Leaving a bicycle outside a CLEW port
- If a left bicycle is removed by authorities and not retrieved
Please always park properly within the designated CLEW ports and follow the rules.
